AutoMaxi is downloaded from this site rather than the Play Store, so Android shows a few safety prompts the first time. They are normal for any app installed this way.

- Tap Download for Android. If your browser warns that this type of file can be harmful, tap Download anyway.
- Open the downloaded AutoMaxi file from the notification or your Downloads.
- Android says your browser isn't allowed to install apps: tap Settings, turn on Allow from this source, then go back.
- Tap Install, then Open.
- Ketuk Unduh untuk Android. Kalau browser memperingatkan bahwa file ini bisa berbahaya, ketuk Tetap download (Download anyway).
- Buka file AutoMaxi yang sudah diunduh, dari notifikasi atau folder Download.

Updating? Install the new version over the old one. Your setup and keys are kept. AutoMaxi also tells you when a new version is out.

Play Protect warns about apps that don't come from the Play Store. Tap More details, then Install anyway. If it offers to scan the app, you can let it.
Play Protect memperingatkan semua aplikasi yang bukan dari Play Store. Ketuk Detail selengkapnya, lalu Tetap instal. Kalau ditawari untuk memindai aplikasinya, boleh saja.
AutoMaxi doesn't read your SMS, contacts or notifications, and doesn't use Accessibility. It asks only for what it needs to reach your cluster: Bluetooth (nearby devices) and notifications to show that it's running. It may also ask to run without battery restrictions, so the stream keeps going with the screen off.
AutoMaxi tidak membaca SMS, kontak, atau notifikasi kamu, dan tidak memakai Aksesibilitas. To check your download is the original file, compare its SHA-256 with the one on GitHub Releases. The only official downloads are this page and AutoMaxi's GitHub Releases. Copies shared elsewhere may be modified, and AutoMaxi refuses to run if it was.

Get the keys & start Android Auto's head unit server
Tap Get keys: AutoMaxi downloads two free public files and sets them up. Then turn on Android Auto developer mode and start its head unit server. The app shows each step and ticks it off by itself.

Pair the XMAX / NMAX in Android's Bluetooth settings (its name starts with YCCU), open AutoMaxi and tap Connect. Android Auto appears on the dash.

The cluster sends AutoMaxi the presses of its up and down buttons. A quick double press counts as a separate action:

Where do the head unit keys come from?Dari mana asal kunci head unit?
Android Auto only connects to a head unit that presents a certificate. AutoMaxi uses the free sample certificate and key from Open Headunit, an open-source Android Auto head unit project on GitHub. They are published openly for testing, so everyone gets the same two files. They aren't secret, contain nothing about you, your phone or your motorcycle, and don't unlock anything. The certificate is labelled “Google-Android-Reference”, the name of that sample identity.
Android Auto hanya mau terhubung ke head unit yang punya sertifikat. AutoMaxi memakai sertifikat dan kunci contoh gratis dari Open Headunit, proyek head unit Android Auto open-source di GitHub. AutoMaxi doesn't include them in the app. When you tap Get keys, it downloads them from GitHub, from the exact version AutoMaxi was tested with, checks their fingerprints and keeps them inside the app only.

- In AutoMaxi setup, tap Open Android Auto settings.
- Scroll to the very bottom and tap Version about 10 times. When Android Auto asks to allow development settings, tap OK.
- Tap ⋮ at the top right, then Start head unit server. No ⋮ menu yet? Do step 2 again.
- Come back to AutoMaxi. The step turns green by itself.
- Di setup AutoMaxi, ketuk Buka pengaturan Android Auto.
- Gulir ke paling bawah, lalu ketuk Versi (Version) sekitar 10 kali. Saat Android Auto minta izin untuk setelan developer, ketuk OK.

Developer mode stays on. After a phone restart, Clear all in Recents, or if Android Auto stops the server, only step 3 is needed again.

These phones pause apps in the background, including Android Auto, so it can't answer AutoMaxi. AutoMaxi's setup shows this as step 4.

- Open Settings → Apps → Android Auto (or tap Open Android Auto app info in AutoMaxi).

- Turn on your motorcycle and pair the cluster in Android's Bluetooth settings first. Its name starts with YCCU.
- Allow AutoMaxi's Bluetooth permission when it asks.
- Tap Connect and choose your cluster. AutoMaxi remembers it and reconnects by itself.

- New look. Dark frosted glass, rounder controls and the Figtree font. Every button reacts when you press it, and nothing jumps around when you change a setting.
- Map colours. Auto (light by day, dark from 18:00 to 06:00), Light or Dark.
- Fewer black screens. The cluster shows the AutoMaxi logo and a status line while Android Auto starts or reconnects, and frames too big for the cluster are softened instead of blanking it.
- Steadier connection. AutoMaxi keeps retrying your cluster, reconnects as soon as the bike's Bluetooth is back, and pauses when the cluster asks it to.
- Controls in one place. Joystick and Handlebar tabs in one card, and your cluster connection now sits under the preview.
